• The objective is to transfer all cards to the foundations: the first four should be built up starting from Ace, while the last four are built down from King.
• Card placement in the tableau occurs by suit, allowing for both ascending and descending arrangements. Only one card can be moved at a time. Kings can be placed on Aces and vice versa, while any card may fill an empty tableau column.
• Cards in the reserve can be played onto either the tableau or foundations; however, no cards may revert to the reserve.
• Players may deal extra cards from the stock: two face-up cards are assigned to each reserve pile except in the final instance, when only one face-up card is dealt to each tableau pile.
